Follow these guidelines to properly package and ship your specimen to ensure it arrives at the laboratory in optimal condition.
Your specimen must be shipped within 24 hours of collection to ensure sample integrity. Use overnight courier service for delivery.
Place the sealed collection tube(s) inside the provided plastic zip-lock bag containing an absorbent pad.
Insert the sealed zip-lock bag into the cardboard mailer box provided in your kit. Ensure the bag lies flat and is not bent or folded.
Important: Do not include any personal identification information on the specimen boxes or tubes. Use only your assigned site locator study number.
Seal the cardboard mailer securely. Attach the pre-addressed shipping label to the outside of the package.
Drop off your package at the designated courier location or schedule a pickup. Use overnight delivery service to ensure timely arrival.
Maintain at room temperature during transport
Do not leave in hot vehicles or direct sunlight
Do not refrigerate or freeze the specimen
